ISIS executes female journalist who reported on group’s atrocities

Islamic State militants allegedly executed a female journalist who was caught reporting on the terrorist group in the jihadi group's Raqqa, Syria headquarters. Ruqia Hassan, a 30-year-old University of Aleppo student, whose pen name was Nisan Ibrahim, is the fifth journalist to be captured and killed by ISIS since October. Hassan, who had been reported missing for several months, began being surveilled by the Islamic State in August after exposing the savage actions of the jihadis in her home country. The group Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently (RBSS), who monitors ISIS activity from the ground, confirmed her death after the group’s founder, Abu Mohammed, posted what is believed to be Hassan’s final words on Twitter: “I'm in Raqqa and I received death threats and when ISIS will arrest me and kill me it's ok because they will cut my head and I have dignity. It's better than I live in humiliation with ISIS.”
